Whether you are looking for somewhere to go before a club, during the day or for a lively evening, Ibiza has something that will fit you mood. Here is a small selection of the ones that we recommend.

Bora Bora
The legendary Bora Bora beach bar is directly under the Jet Apartment Complex in Playa d'en Bossa. Things would really kick off during the day with club DJs (including the legendary DJ Gee) who would play party tunes for a lively crowd.

Along with may open air bars, Bora Bora was affected by a local government crackdown, however we are pleased to report that midway through the season the bar was back to full party strength. According to their web site www.boraboraibiza.com, Bora Bora opens for the season in late May.

Base Bar and Rock Bar
Situated next to each other in the Ibiza Town port area, the bars are the place to be seen in what is otherwise a long anonymous strip of me-too bars.

Café del Mar
Another institution known throughout the world, if not for the world famous sunsets, it's for the ever expanding number of chill out CDs

Get there an hour or two before sunset and watch the beach in front of you fill up with like minded people who will very quickly disperse once the sun have disappeared from sight.

Its location on (not surprisingly) the San Antonio Sunset Strip is also convenient for the many other bars that have sprung up alongside Café del Mar over recent years.

Mambo
Neighbouring Café del Mar, Mambo is THE San Antonio pre-club bar where you can hear the same DJs who will be gracing the decks at the night clubs later on that night. Listen to BBC Radio One DJ Pete Tong, broadcasting his Friday night show live during the summer months. Also a great place to pick up discounted tickets for all the major clubs.

KM5
Set in tranquil surroundings near the 5 kilometre road marking on the Ibiza Town to San Josep road, it is a perfect place for a relaxing evening with friends. Dining is also possible, however you may need to book in advance.

Underground
Part-bar part-club, this recent addition to the Ibiza nightlife is a welcome change to the large clubs in the local vicinity. Friendly and intimate, it's also pretty local to the villa.
